A webinar is an online event consisting of one or more hosts showing content like slides to an audience.
Webinars are frequently used for:
- Regular class meetings
- Special presentations
- Live discussions
While the webinar host is allowed to share multimedia, such as videos, slides, and more, the audience is often allowed to participate through chat rooms, surveys, and whiteboards.
Webinars can happen in real-time, or they can be recorded and played back after the event. Attendees are usually invited by the host or provided with a link to register prior to the event.
A webinar can be free or premium depending on the teacher’s needs and goals.
